Welcome to the 2007 Spank Rally, California Edition! This year we truly have something for everyone. Hard Core competitive rallyist? No sweat, we will have one of the most challenging rallys you’ve ever layed your wheels on. You will enjoy every hour, all 30 of them. Just want to get your first Saddle Sore done and do it by spectacular roads and scenery? Are you missing the Baby Butt? No problem. You can ride our incredible route or one of your own. We also have a BBG for you folks with larger appetites, but both of these rides only allow 24 hours to complete them. After completing your certified ride, you are free to ride the remainder of the rally. The routes and all bonuses are entirely within California. No matter what you do or where you go, you will have the opportunity to achieve an ALL-Cali Saddle Sore or more. Through special arrangements with the Iron Butt Association, the Spank Rally is proud to offer IBA certificates at the finish. Whether you ride the Rally, the Saddle Sore or BBG, or ANY combination of them, at the end of the rally you will have the option to purchase and immediately receive the appropriate IBA certificate. Lets say you rode 1,100 corrected miles during the course of the first 24 hours of the rally. At the finish of the rally you simply ask your scorer to put you down for a Saddle Sore certificate. Ride 1500+ in 24 hours, ask for a Bun Burner Gold certificate. Ride 1500+ in 30 hours, ask for a Bun Burner certificate. Getting your certificate has never been easier. If you are an IBA "Virgin" and you complete your first Saddle Sore, not only can you get your certificate, but you'll receive your IBA #, plate back, IBA pin, California pin, and stickers. Non-Virgins can get their California pin with their certificate. The Rally and both SS1K and BBG routes start and finish in Escondido. SS1K and BBG riders will experience some of Southern and Central Californias best roads. Rallyists will have the chance to see a bit more of the state. The Rally will start Friday morning to allow riders open roads without weekend traffic and dangerous squids. This allows for the Rally to end on Saturday and we’ll party hearty at the Finishers Banquet. The Finishers Banquet is being hosted by Stone Brewing Co. We will feast inside their award winning World Bistro & Gardens. Incredible food and craft ale’s brewed just feet away. Cabs and vans will be available for the short hop to the brewery. Your rally fee covers all-you-can-eat grub and enough beer to make you very very happy.
